Shingle Creek Golf Club ORLANDO (September 14, 2005) - Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, a new luxury resort with the Rosen Hotels and Resorts group scheduled to open in the Fall 2006, has been awarded the prestigious" Greens of Distinction" by Corporate & Incentive Travel Magazine.

Earlier this year Shingle Creek Golf Club was named one of the top 40 new golf courses in the country by Golfweek magazine. The 7,228-yard, par-72 championship course was cited by Golfweek for many things, including the quality of its par-3's, par-4's and par-5's.

Rosen Shingle Creek joins a group of 35 "Greens of Distinction" winners that rank with the finest golf resorts in the country. Among the other resorts gaining the honor are The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO.; The Greenbriar in White Sulphur Springs, W. VA.; and Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, SC.

"This honor reflects all the work that has gone into, and will go into, making Shingle Creek a must-come place for golfers and meeting planners," says Leslie Menichini, Director of Sales & Marketing, Rosen Shingle Creek. "We're extremely grateful that the readers of Corporate & Incentive Travel Magazine have seen fit that we deserve this honor, but we won't rest on our laurels. We will only get better."

Readers employed several criteria in determining the winners, including location, course condition, function set-up, and food and beverage. According to the magazine, Rosen Shingle Creek had high marks in every category. Another factor in selecting winners was that the resorts "are never satisfied with the status quo." A commitment to excellence and desire to improve programs and upgrade facilities was another reason Shingle Creek was honored.

In summing up the reason for Rosen Shingle Creek's selection, the magazine wrote "A remarkable ode to Florida's natural riches and legendary charms, Shingle Creek Resort has skillfully combined luxury and business savvy to create a meeting destination that will not only produce successful meetings, but a memorable Florida experience, as well."

In Fall 2006, Rosen Shingle Creek is scheduled to open a 1,500-room luxury hotel that will include 250,000 square feet of state of the art meeting facilities and ballroom, including a 95,000 square foot column free ballroom, one of the largest column-free ballrooms in the country.

Occupying a 230-acre site along Shingle Creek, the headwaters of the Florida Everglades, the resort will offer an array of nature-focused activities, including hiking, fishing and seasonal canoeing. The one-year old championship Shingle Creek Golf Club has received additional acclaim including being named "One of the Top 25 Most Challenging Courses in Central Florida" by the Orlando Business Journal, and for the Brad Brewer Golf Academy, offering corporate golf clinics.
