Orange County National announces partnership with American Tour Golf Schools Courtesy Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge
April 15, 2004 -- Orange County National has signed an agreement to host the second American Tour Golf Schools facility as part of their award winning practice facility. This is the second school site for American Tour Golf Schools and it will serve as the flagship of their operation.
Owned and operated by David Forbes, a long time avid golfer and golf coach, American Tour Golf Schools utilizes the latest in golf technology. This technology incorporates multiple camera views, weight transfer machines for maximum performance and other swing motion training devices in addition to putting monitors to develop an effective stroke. The instructional team is lead by instructors Kim Young and Graham Farr who have more than 50 years of combined professional experience, including play on both the PGA and European PGA TOURs. Personalized club and golf ball fitting will be a staple of their instructional programs with feedback from state of the art Ball Flight Launch Monitors. On site customized club building and repair service will be offered as well.
"As part of our continued quest to offer the best golf experience possible to our guests, we are always looking for unique services and programs. American Tour Golf Schools offers just such a special type of learning experience" states Orange County National's General Manager, Bruce Gerlander. "Whether you enroll in one of their long term instructional programs or only take advantage of one of their technology based diagnostic evaluations, you will receive the knowledge necessary to improve your game" Gerlander continued.
Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge is the home of two 4 ½ star rated golf courses (Golf Digest's Best Places to Play 2000-2004), a 42-acre circular practice range voted Best in America by The Golfer Magazine, a 9-hole short course, a 46 room lodge and a 30,000 square foot clubhouse including a 5,000 square foot golf shop. Orange County National has hosted the PGA TOUR Q-School Finals in 2003 and will again host it again in 2005. Orange County National has also hosted the National Buick Scramble Finals the past six years and is located in Winter Garden, Florida, just southwest of Orlando.
