Save $10 per round on Participating Courses
Orlando in the fall is about as good as it gets when it comes to memorable golf getaways. Outstanding golf courses, superb weather and enticing nightlife and restaurants are the right ingredients for a great golf trip.
And this fall, thanks to a new Book Early program from Golfpac Travel, your next trip just got a little greener.
Each player in your group will receive a $10 discount on every qualifying round he or she plays on any of 22 Orlando courses if you book the trip before September 30, 2015. That’s $40 of savings per round for your foursome. The travel must fall between October 1, 2015 and January 21, 2016.
“This selection of 22 Orlando courses is as good as any in the country,” said Golfpac Travel President Jeff Hamilton. “They are top quality, not only as layouts but also in their conditioning. They are the work of some of the most renowned golf course designers in the game. And now they have come together to reward folks who plan and book early by saving them dollars.”
The list includes courses that have hosted PGA Tour tournaments, LPGA Tour events and other national competitions. Several have been named among the best courses in the nation by national publications. And ALL will provide a golf experience to write home about.
“Every course on this list would be among the best courses at any destination in the country,” said Dave Scott, Director of Golf at Shingle Creek GC and former president of the GolfOrlando marketing co-op. “The quality of golf in Orlando is amazing, and fall is truly the best time to play here. The courses aren’t crowded during that time of year despite the fact that they are in mint condition in the fall. Many of them offer free replays during that time of year. The value in Orlando in the fall is unmatched.”
Among the golf clubs participating in the Book Early program are: Bella Collina, Celebration, ChampionsGate G.C., Falcon’s Fire, Grand Cypress, Hawk’s Landing, Mission Inn Resort, Orange County National, Reunion Resort, The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Shingle Creek, Tranquilo GC at Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria G.C. and Walt Disney World® Golf.
The Disney Magnolia and Palm courses hosted a PGA Tour for nearly four decades with Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Luke Donald among those who claimed victory.
Among the dozens of major competitions held at the Jack Nicklaus-designed 45-hole Grand Cypress Resort complex were the LPGA Tour Championship and the World Cup. The New Course at Grand Cypress is comprised of replica holes from The Old Course at St. Andrews.
For many years the two courses at Orange County National — Panther Lake and Crooked Cat — hosted the pressure-packed PGA Tour School Qualifying Finals, the final hurdle to the PGA Tour.
Mission Inn Resort is home to the oldest course in the area, El Campeon, and several NCAA women’s national championships have been conducted over El Campeon and its sister course, Las Colinas.
Nicklaus has plenty of company when it comes to world-renowned designers who have carved their signatures into the Orlando landscape. Rees Jones (Falcon’s Fire and Waldorf Astoria), Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson at Reunion, Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Junior at Celebration, Tom Fazio at Tranquilo, and Greg Norman at ChampionsGate are just a few of the big name architects that have worked in Orlando.
The variety of accommodations available is just as impressive as the list of courses. Golfpac works with hotels, condos, villas and homes to meet every group’s needs. Here are highlights from a few of those properties, all of which offer multi-bedroom units.
Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa is located just off International Drive and SR-535, right in the heart of Orlando. The popular Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub features 32 taps dispensing a wide variety of international and domestic beer, and 17 TVs showing all types of sports. Pools, a fitness center and spa are there for the taking.
Floridays Resort is located on International Drive, just a few miles from attractions and only steps away from sensational shopping and dining, with the help of the I-Drive Trolley. Units feature a vibrant Mediterranean decor with flat screen TVs, fully equipped kitchen, and two luxurious bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi tub. There is a terrific pool area, where the Palm Cafe & Pool Bar serves specialty drinks and tropical martinis.

Along with offering a fully equipped kitchen and flat-screen TVs, the units open onto the patio with a private hot tub. The resort’s Clubhouse facility includes a reception area, Romy’s Bistro wine bar and restaurant and Cyber Cafe.
Regal Oaks Resort, the sister property to Encantada, borders Old Town Kissimmee in a beautiful forested conservation area.
