About Timacuan Golf & Country Club (Lake Mary, FL)
A must-play while in Central Florida, Timacuan is a stunning 7000-yard championship course located in Lake Mary, 15 minutes north of downtown Orlando. Designed originally by Ron Garl in 1987 and totally renovated with a new look and feel by Bobby Weed in 1996, the course features two very distinct nines. The front nine resembles a Scottish links layout with rolling fairways (some dramatic) bordered by sandy waste areas and deep pot bunkers; water on just 3 holes. The back nine has the feel of the finest Carolina pineland courses with abundant wildlife and water almost everywhere in sight. Add outstanding club facilities, a 1st-class staff and attention to customer service for great reasons to play and experience Timacuan. Whether staying on the north or south side of Orlando, make the trip to Timacuan ~ well worth the drive for the experience from anywhere in Orlando.

This is a must every year for our group and it certainly didn't disapoint this year. If you've never played here it's a must. Just bring a bucket of balls to the second hole. And if the winds up, wow does it play long. But again in beautiful shape all around.

Timicuan is one that has been on our list for years and will continue in 2008......They have what could be a great practice facility, however, need to improve the grass on the practice range ( it's like hitting off a waste area )

Pro shop staff and service were great. Clubhouse/restaurant staff and service could improve a bit. I especially liked the front 9 on this course. The staff treated me well and I enjoyed playing this course. They were very accommodating when I wanted to play another 9 holes before I had to catch my plane. It was a very convenient location for me and I had a good time.
