Very nice course but the surroundings were less interesting. The course is crammed into a large resort with lots of lodging structures around most holes. long distances between several holes. Not quite a serene as we would like. But otherwise a great course with lots of interesting challenges.

We found that there was no course information on the card that would have made the course more friendly for a first time player. We found out later that we could have purchased a course booklet that would have given a diagram of the holes with yardage etc. I guess we are spoiled by having score cards with course information. Not sure if we could play this again.

Very nice course, fair but challenging. Always in nice condition. The only thing we don't like about it is that it is a "no cash" facility. If you want to buy a candy bar in the pro shop, you have to put it on a credit card. Quite the hassle, but it doesn't take away from the nice course.

The course was in great condition except for the greens. I am being picky, but they were sandy and had grass clippings. Not a huge deal for my skill level, but it was not as nice of greens as the Reserve course, which is their "b" course. Other than that the course was a challenge and in wonderful shape!

Great challanging course. Excellent conditons. Only drawback is an expensive re-up. They want $55 for a 9 hole re-up and wouldn't compromise even w/ 8 of us wanting it.

Opened in 1998 as a tribute to golf legend Arnold Palmer and hotel business magnate Kemmons Wilson, Orange Lake's Legends has quickly become one of Orlando's most popular courses. Laid out by Palmer Course Design, the course provides two distinct nine-hole layouts. The front side has been named The Links Nine for its open feel, which reminds one of playing the great links of Scotland and Ireland. The back nine, or The Pines, has tight, tree-lined fairways similar to the great American layouts in the Pinehurst area of North Carolina. Combined, the course provides an extremely entertaining and challenging round of golf, with water bordering on just 10 holes. How about 36 holes? Sister course, the Reserve, is just 5 minutes away! After one blast of thunder we were called off the range for 2 hours. There was no additional lightning for that period, but by the time they re-opened we were forced to take a rain-check. Staff acted like they were doing us a favor to issue it. We'll only go back because it's already paid for.
