About Golden Bear Club At Keene's Pointe (Windermere, FL)
This Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed course opened in July 1999 and has quickly proven that it belongs in the prestigious golfing community of Windermere. This phenomenal "private" country club is located within the beautiful Keene's Pointe development and is bordered by the Butler Chain of Lakes, featuring majestic oaks, towering cypress trees and all types of natural flora. Unfortunately the course was closed on a Monday and therefore the clubhouse and pro shop wasnt available. The plus side was there were only 6 people on the course as we played. A shorte course built in amongst a housing estate. Very good quality greens and buitifully manicured surrounds.

Very tough course for the average golfer. The fairway traps are very deep with heavy sand and your ball half buries in them. The greens are surrounded by traps, so you either hit the green or you're in the traps. A very long day in the traps for this 10 handicapper.
